2. Server log files
Each time the site is accessed, the web server automatically stores the information your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the status code, the referring page and the browser identification.
This serves technical operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation. The logs are deleted regularly, at the latest after 30 days.
3. Cookies, analytics, advertising
This website sets no cookies. There is no reach measurement, no tracking and no advertising network. For that reason there is also no consent banner.
4. Fonts
The fonts used are stored on our own server. No data is transmitted to Google or any other font provider when you open the page.
5. Enquiry form
Through the enquiry form on the home page we collect the house you want, the arrival and departure date, the number of guests, the room type you want, your name and your e-mail address, and optionally your phone number and your message. These details are transmitted by e-mail to our mailbox and handled there. There is no database in which form entries are stored, and nothing is passed on to third parties.
An automatic confirmation of receipt is also sent to the e-mail address you provide. It repeats your details so that you can check them.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, the initiation of an accommodation contract. Without the details marked as required we cannot answer the enquiry.
To protect against automated bulk submissions we limit the number of submissions per internet connection and per e-mail address. No cookie is used for this. What is stored, for no longer than 48 hours, is a hash value of your IP address and of your e-mail address together with the times of submission, not the details in plain text. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operation free of abuse.
If sending the e-mail fails for technical reasons, we store the enquiry on the server so that it is not lost and delete it at the latest after 30 days.
6. Contacting us by phone and e-mail
If you call us or send an e-mail, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a booking and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for other matters. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention period applies.
7. Links to our houses
The tiles on the start page lead to the websites of the individual houses. Clicking one takes you away from this website. The respective house is responsible for any processing there and its privacy policy applies. No booking takes place on this page.
8. Map link
No map is embedded on this website. The link “Get directions” leads to Google Maps. Data is only transmitted to Google once you click it.
9. Hosting
This website is operated by MQTec GmbH, Hilpertstraße 20, 64295 Darmstadt, Germany. MQTec GmbH processes the log data named above on our behalf under a data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.
10. Encryption
This website is delivered over an encrypted connection only. You can recognise this by the padlock symbol in your browser address bar.
11. Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Please contact us at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
